This is the only poster in the eight-piece Saladin series that isn't a band. Red on a yellow ground, a seated figure ringed by curling type, and the text reads: “summer, you say · there is going to be a LOVE-IN in san francisco · this SUMMER JUNE 21st.”

June 21, 1967 was the summer solstice. The dawn gathering in Golden Gate Park that morning is the moment history dates the start of the Summer of Love from. This sheet was printed to be sold in shops alongside the Doors and the Turtles — a piece of the season, made while it was still ahead of everyone.
